If your QR Codes are not scannable, it's most likely due to design elements. Some phone cameras and QR Code reader apps have difficulty scanning complex QR Codes.
Here are a few important design elements to take into account:
- Make sure there is a significant contrast between the QR Code's foreground and background.
- The background should be lighter than the foreground (e.g. a white QR Code on a black background may not be readable by all scanners).
- Make sure the QR Code's size is appropriate for the scan distance. In general, Dynamic QR Codes should be no smaller than 2 cm x 2 cm (.8 in x .8 in) and Static QR Codes should be no smaller than 3 cm x 3 cm (1.2 in x 1.2 in)).
- If you're using a logo, make sure that it does not obstruct important elements of the QR Code.
